Education Outside the Classroom

At Te Matauru Primary, Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) is designed to build confidence, independence, and resilience beyond traditional walls. Outdoor learning allows ākonga to push their limits, bond with peers, and connect with the world around them.

These activities include:

• Te Matauru Challenge - Year 8
  Overnight tramp, community service, passion projects, Cave Stream, Mountain Biking & Kaiteriteri 5 day camp.

• School Camps - Year 4-8
  Glentui, Waipara, Living Springs, Hanmer Springs. 

• International Travel Opportunities
  China & Rarotonga Cultural Experiences. 

• PCT Challenge

• Ski/Snowboard Trips
