Te Matauru Primary
Ekea Kā Taumata Ki Te Uru – “look to the peaks of the alps and ascend to great heights”
Welcome to Te Matauru Primary
Te Matauru Primary is a full state primary school (Y0-8) in West Rangiora. It opened at the start of the 2020 school year. The school name was gifted by Ngāi Tūāhuriri, meaning “eyes to the west”, describing our positioning towards the Southern Ranges. This is reflected in our school logo and our vision:
Ekea Kā Taumata Ki Te Uru – “look to the peaks of the alps and ascend to great heights”.
The school board has a developing vision for the school which reflects the 7 Principles for Learning and have incorporated this into building design and learning philosophy.
