Tuesday 2nd February - Open afternoon for Whānau 2pm - 4pm
Whānau are welcome to come into school, meet the class teacher and share any additional enrolment information needed. This could include previous school reports, outside agency support information for behavioural or learning support, or educational psychologist, speech or medical assessments. This really helps our teaching staff in being able to support the transition of our new students. If you have documentation to complete the enrolment process please bring this. Students are not fully enrolled until all required paperwork is received.
Wednesday 3rd February - First Day & Global Outdoor Play Day
Student’s first day and new whānau welcome/Mihi Whakatau at 9am. Please click here to read a letter from our Principal Danny Nicholls with more information on how this morning will run. Whānau are invited to be part of our Global Outdoor Play Day from 12pm and/or to join us for the water fun from 1.30pm onwards. Tamariki will need clothing/togs/wetsuits that whānau are happy to get wet in, as well as water guns.
The Maukatere Centre opens in 2021 for Y7/8 students from schools in the wider Rangiora network. Chami Hutterd is the technology centre leader. Te Matauru students will be using the centre later in the year.
Reminder Term 1 is a sunhat term. Day 1 is amnesty and from then, the regulation school hat must be worn or students will be required to spend connect and kai times in the shaded areas.
This does not need to be bought until students are representing the school for a sporting event. This may involve Twilight football, touch, basketball, interschool exchanges, North Canterbury primary school events.
